Right to Know

You have the right to request that NJ Lenders disclose certain information to you about NJ Lenders’ collection and use of your personal information over the past 12 months. Once NJ Lenders is in receipt of and confirms your verifiable consumer request, NJ Lenders will disclose to you:

  • The categories of sources from which NJ Lenders collected personal information.
  • The purposes for which NJ Lenders used the personal information.
  • The categories of third parties with whom NJ Lenders shared that personal information.

Right to Delete

You have the right to request that NJ Lenders delete any of your personal information that NJ Lenders collected from you and retained, subject to certain exceptions. Once NJ Lenders receives and verifies your consumer request, NJ Lenders will delete your personal information from NJ Lenders’ records, unless an exception applies.

In some situations, NJ Lenders may deny your request to delete, which may include the following:

1)     Inability to verify your request.

2)     Complete your transaction for a service you requested.

3)     For business security purposes.

4)     For certain internal uses that are compatible with reasonable consumer expectations or the context in which the information was provided.

5)     To comply with legal obligations, exercise legal claims or rights, or defend legal claims

6)     If the personal information is certain medical information, consumer credit reporting information, or other types of information exempt from the CCPA.

Only you or a person registered with the California Secretary of State that you authorize to act on your behalf, may make a verifiable consumer request related to your personal information. You may also make a verifiable consumer request on behalf of your minor child.

You may only make a verifiable consumer request for access twice within a 12-month period. The verifiable consumer request should:

  • Provide enough information that permits NJ Lenders to reasonably verify that you are the person about whom NJ Lenders collected personal information.
  • Describe your request with details that allows NJ Lenders to properly understand, evaluate, and respond to it.

 

Response Timing and Format

NJ Lenders will use best efforts and diligently respond to a verifiable consumer request within 45 days of receipt.  Should unusual circumstances dictate that additional time is necessary, NJ Lenders will inform you of the reason and extension period in writing.  Any information NJ Lenders provides will only cover the 12-month period preceding receipt of the verifiable consumer’s request.  NJ Lenders’ response may also explain the reason(s) why NJ Lenders cannot comply with a request, if applicable. 

Right To Non-Discrimination

NJ Lenders does not and will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your CCPA rights. Unless permitted by the CCPA, NJ Lenders will not deny goods or services, charge you a different price, or provide a different level or quality of goods or services just because you exercised your rights under the CCPA.

Changes to Our Privacy Notice
